Rascal-sensei and Class Banana, from Akazukin ChaCha. I got involved in a bidding war over this one, which is something I have *never* before let myself do. But a cel of all of Class Banana all in one place? I wanted it badly. It is also one of only two harmony cels in the whole of my collection... The first of which taught me that I really like harmony cels a lot. ^_^ I don't at all regret fighting for this one. One interesting point about this cel is that the tears are painted on the cel layer. Other than the lines, they are the only thing on the cel layer. Kusanagi, from Blue Seed TV. I've been waiting and hoping for this cel to appear. This might look like a generic headshot of Kusanagi, but I knew it as soon as I saw it... The "kiss" scene! Possibly my single favorite scene in all of Blue Seed, and one that I keep an .avi of on my computer. For a while, I've had one cel from that scene of Kusanagi leaning over Momiji, but I also really wanted two others from the same scene... One of him actually kissing her, and one of him as she sees him when she wakes up. This is the one as she sees him when she wakes up. I could hardly believe my eyes! Not only did it turn up, but it turned up with a seller that ships internationally. Now I can only continue to hope against hope for the last of the three I wanted...

Teppei and X, from Bt'X. I enjoyed gazing at this cel from afar, and happily took the chance to own it. I would never expect anyone to think of me and Bt'X in the same thought, but I really do like the little I've seen of the show. Ideally, I'd like one very nice cel of each of the riders with their Bt's. This makes for three, plus a cute cel of Ron on his dragon. As usual, line fading has left it's mark with so much light yellow to encourage it, but the pose is wonderful! I like how the bandanna tied around X's leg can be seen. Also nice is the background, which is possibly the blackest black watercolor paint I've ever seen. It makes the light colors, which wouldn't look very bold without the contrast, especially striking. Kero, from Card Captor Sakura. I can't believe the tiny bid that won this cel for me. I almost didn't even bother to plan on bidding, since I was sure it would go high. I do already have a cel of Kero in his "adult" form and never really intended to get another, but this one is so very nicely posed, and has such a different expression from my first... I decided that I also never intended to *not* get another of him. (*grin*)		Tasuki, from Fushigi Yuugi OVA. From afar (and even up close in her room! ^_^) I'd long envied Lady Brick's cel from this sequence. I'd be lying if I said I don't still, but when this came up for offers, I jumped in and offered on it. Not only do I hate making offers, but I desperately hate trying to offer on cels from a series I don't regularly collect... That I did send the offer mail shows how much I wanted this!

Andy, from Garou Densetsu. I have very few Fatal Fury cels, but I'm very attached to the few I've chosen. I've wanted a nice cel of Andy for a while now, but the ones I'd seen never quite "clicked" with me. This one is another story! The pose is exactly the sort I was looking for, plus the added bonus of his best costume. Of course, with all that gold, flesh tone, and yellow tones, the curse of line fading has moved in with a flair. I've only just gotten the cel, but like it too much to let the lines vanish before preserving their pattern, so I'm going to contact a good fancel artist to make a correction layer for me. I've been tempted to do such with other cels, but this is the first one that has actually gotten me off my butt to get it done.

Whirzel and Kim, from Lensman. I could rant for a page about the time and effort needed to free this gorgeous cel from the deplorable matting job done by someone who obviously had NO business trying to mat a cel, and then rant for an additional page about the damage the mat caused. But I will push that all from my mind and merely enjoy that I not only have a Lensman cel, but that said cel is of my favorite character! Whirzel is the first person who told poor Kim anything useful about the lens on his hand, and from the moment I first saw him, I thought he was *beautiful*. Managing to have both humanoid characteristics and look like a dragon at the same time... The character design is fantastic! If I could pick one more cel of him to have, it would be one of him flying. Incidentally, this cel is scanned wrong. I couldn't remember Whirzel and Kim were hiding *behind* that pole on the right instead of in front of it. Whoops! At least Whirzel is shown off better with it scanned this way. Alice's mother, from Petshop of Horrors. Anime World Star apparently never sold some of those original Petshop of Horrors cels they posted so long ago, because they posted them to their site again. I was a bit disappointed that this one has a correction painted on the front of the cel, which I couldn't see in the scan. But otherwise, it's in great condition.		Clef, from Magic Knights Rayearth OVA. Clef is my favorite character from Magic Knights Rayearth. I've only seen the TV show as yet, but I love his costume change for the OVA, so I wanted a cel of him very much. This one isn't perfectly what I was thinking, but this is all about the eyes... Even if I do get another in the future, I couldn't sell this one.

Luna and Artemis, from Sailor Moon. Yay! My interests in Sailor Moon are mostly limited to a few key scenes or Sailor Pluto, but I also wanted one of Luna and Artemis... preferably together. This and another were posted to Yahoo Japan at the same time. The other was probably the more valuable of the two, but I liked this one also. In the end, the cherry blossom background decided it. I have no idea if it matches, but I just like it. If anyone can confirm either a match or non-match, please tell me. Irregardless, the cel is staying with it because it is VERY stuck. (Hand painted background, unknown if matching.)		Lina and Amelia, from Slayers. I've been looking for just the right Lina cel for a long time. This isn't quite it. So why is it here? Because it's darn close to the kind of thing I am looking for, and I couldn't shake the idea that she looks like she's having a ball riding the log flume at an amusement park! An interesting note about this cel is that it came with an extra layer of only the lighter portion of her face, that one with a closed mouth instead of an open one. Again, if anyone can confirm either a match or non-match for this background, please tell me. (Hand painted background, believed matching.)

Gabriel and Miruru, from Tenshi ni Narumon. Finally! Some might consider this a junk cel, but I wanted a cel from this sequence since I first saw one on Yahoo Japan. I thought no one would be interested, and I didn't bid enough... With the next one on Ebay, I was dead broke and was outbid again... This one was posted for sale and I snapped it up as fast as I could type, even though it was more than I wanted to pay. No regrets! Just looking at it makes me feel mushy and lovey.		Zero Ryoko, from Tenchi Muyo. The only way I know this is Zero Ryoko is because when Nick from Chaos sold a cel from the same sequence, *he* said it was Zero... and knowing things about Ryoko is definitely his forte. As much as I liked it, I'm not as big a fan of Tenchi Muyo and have never had strong interest in cels from the show. But the expression on this cel was so cute, and the price just right. Hmmm... Is that sushi? ^_^

Unknown character, unknown show. I have bought fewer than five "unknown" cels in all of my collecting, and that includes cels from shows I know about but simply haven't yet seen. There was just something about this cel. I couldn't stop going back to look at it. For some reason, when I see it I can only think that looks like an anime version of Louis from Anne Rice's novels. In any case, the cel came with some nice sketches also, that says the studio which made it was Xebec. If anyone knows, or even thinks they know, who this is or what show he is from, please write me. In case anyone is wondering, although I know nothing about the cel, I know the background matches because of notes on the layout. From that, I also know that it is from episode seven, cut #154, of it's show. (Original production background.)
