Dio. JoJo's Bizarre adventure is a big favorite anime of mine. When I first saw it, I wound up riveted to the screen until the later wee hours of the morning because I had to finish seeing it. I've been fidgiting waiting for the DVD box set that should have been released back in MAY (*grr*), but has been repeatedly put off now, and would love to read some of the manga. (Actually, I've been hoping the release of the DVD set would encourage someone to domestically release the manga.) Despite how much I like the show, I don't care much for the artwork... To me, it looks good in motion, but not standing still. Even so, this only makes my cel hunt more challenging. There are some cels I've seen from it that I do like a lot, and I try to snap them up when I see them. For a while now, I've wanted to find one nice cel of Dio that I like... and this is it! I can't explain why *this* one and not another, but the image is appealing to my eye where others aren't when they're standing still. Unseen by me until I received the cel, this also came with a rough sketch so fabulous that it immediately made my list of favorites. (Original production background.)

Dio. Above I say I had a tough time finding even *one* Dio I liked, only to have another Dio cel right under it... what gives? Well, this one came with the first, and while it does fall into the catagory of JoJo's cels that I wouldn't buy for myself, I actually like this for a different reason. That is, the Dio that you see in the first cel is much too calm and composed looking for Dio. No... This that you see here is the real Dio, violent and sadistic. If you doubt me, know that you never see Dio's body in the anime, only his head. How is that so? It would be a spoiler to explain why that is, so I won't... (*grin*) Go watch it and then you tell ME if you think that isn't the craziest length to go to just to emotionally hurt someone else.

Please do not take and use images from this site. My cels were expensive to buy and I have put a lot of time into scanning them for use here.
