Details, Details...

One thing I keep typing and retyping is "you can't see it in the scan, but..." My scans are too small to show off some of my favorite little details which could be seen if my cels were seen in person. This section is intended to counter that problem by showing off up close scans of more detailed areas of my cels.

Riiya-wolf. Riiya is too cute as a wolf! That was yet another draw this cel had on me. Here you can see a closeup of him running with the rest of his class to take comfort at the teacher's side. The sketchy look of harmony cels is so different from normal cels! I'm very fond of the two harmony cels I've aquired.

Ura. The best details here are the whiskers. They're amazingly thin and delicate. If you look very closely, it's possible to see the eyes are very detailed as well, containing both an iris and a distinct pupil, plus even a little dot of shine. I can't paint so small even with my tiniest brush.

Group of Ryus. This is one of those cels that really needs proof that it's as detailed as I say. Look at the individual fingers, each of the circles on the headband, and the details on the Ryu in the back that are visible between the two in the front. This cel is all one single layer, so that last isn't just part of a larger image showing through.

Mai. I considered rescanning this at a higher DPI, but this is almost full-sized, and it manages to show off the detail in this tiny image. Look especially at the hair! I have few other cels, and only a couple genga, with such delicate detail in a similar sized image. I want the rest of this cel setup and will post a screen capture of the scene as soon as I learn how to capture from DVDs.
